There was a dying apple tree planted on a shady side of my yard. Attempting to save the tree, I grabbed a shovel and dug in the dirt around the roots. After long, I dragged the heavy tree to the top of the mountaintop, where there was plenty of sunlight. I dug another hole in the ground and transplanted the tree. Months later the tree lived to produce tasty apples.
The tree was 2/3 taller than me, yet I was able to drag the tree to the top of the mountain by myself. I wanted to give up the task because the tree was very heavy, but I kept going on. I had the mentality that no matter how hard the job was, I could going to get the job done. I didn’t get discouraged by the obstacles. I was able to outstand the difficulty of the job by not giving up.
I was able to eat spring apples the next year!
How many times do we give up on something right before a breakthrough?
