EVERYTHING IS ABOUT NUMBERS.
Do I have the right number? Do you?
…the right number of siblings, children, cars, and of course- credit cards?
With the right number we compare what we have with our neighbors, and then we calculate if the grass is greener on the other side.
Then if the neighbors' grass is greener, we will be unhappy, and if our grass is greener we will falsely think we are happier.
That's measuring it the wrong way. That is a trap of mirroring our value according to the one next to us.
Measuring our value should not be a reflection of how others see us, or how we measure up according to our neighbors.
Measuring our value should be a reflection of how God sees us and our walk according to His decrees. That is the only way to have the right number…
