NO CAN DO

~~~NO CAN DO~~~
At Walmart, I saw a lady at the cashier paying with a check. Nowadays that’s unusual. But a few years back that was the way to go.
The cashier would ask to write your phone number on the check. If you had your phone number printed out on it, then he/she would ask for more—like your driver’s license number, and sometimes even the social security number. The cashier would request the information because she looked closely to the check and wanted MORE personal data.
The point is that we always seem to give what is requested…and everything becomes a proof that our patience is a river of infinity in this chaotic red tape world of ours.
In our world, friends, family, strangers, are always asking for something else as if they didn’t have enough as it is. Funny thing is that humans want from others instead of asking from themselves.
Saying no, then, is not such a bad idea…it's a boundary of finiteness.
“…but let your word be, Yes, Yes, No, No…” Mat 5:37
At times, "no can do,” is an item.
